The exhibition of these devices, hosted by Explora thanks to the contribution of Comune di Roma - Assessorato alle Politiche per Infanzia – is a unique collection. The mechanical sculptures are made out of paper, wood and metal. They have been realized by artists from all over the world: from Japan to the USA, from France to Canada, from Germany to Great Britain. Each ‘Automata’ can be defined as a ‘small artistic representation of the world’, in reality and in fantasy.
