Become one of our facilitators

    We currently have no open positions at Explora.
    However during certain periods of the year Explora recruits staff (for tours, science and craft workshops) to be employed with occasional work contracts.

    Our facilitators will:

    • assist and welcome visitors during each visit shift, and conduct entertaining presentations during special events.
    • start and check exhibits
    • produce the material that will be used during workshops. Monitor, check and tide up the exhibits in the pavilion
    • carry out museum presentation, in Italian and English
    • supervise the exhibits, assist visitors for the correct use of facilities, fruition of totems and signs, entertaining interaction with the exhibits
    • direct scientific and craft workshops for families
    • direct Kitchen studios
    • assist children during birthday parties and camps
    • conduct surveys and interviews to visitors, quality questionnaires and similar for visitors, according to EN ISO 9001:2008
    • be museum guides for pre-school and kindergarten groups
    • direct scientific and educational workshops for school groups
    • conduct animated readings with craft workshops

    Main requirements for job applications:

    • age between 20 and 35
    • previous work experience with children
    • ability to deal with the public
    • punctuality and precision
    • ability to work in team
    • flexibility
    • fluency in English
    • availability to work during bank holidays

    Selection process
    Selection consists of 4 phases:

    • curricula screening
    • individual interview
    • 40 hours of free training by Explora. Employment after training is not guaranteed.
    • final check and employment (with occasional work contract)
