Halloween 2022

Saturday 29, Sunday 30, Monday 31 October (special opening) and Tuesday 1 November 2022, at 10:00, 12:00, 15:00 and 17:00, four days of fun activities dedicated to creativity and play to celebrate the scariest event of the year.

The activities:

  • Cobwebs in art – 3-11 years: free admission and free access activity during all visiting hours.
    With spin art we create “monstrous” works of art discovering a creative and sustainable technique;
  • What a character this skeleton! – 3-11 years: free admission and free use during all shifts. Make a scary poster with the movable type printing technique using ink and pullers.

Play in the Museum: A 2,000 square meters structure with interactive displays all to be discovered: on the ground floor permanent displays such as the supermarket, the fire truck, the vegetable garden, the fountain, a space dedicated to reuse, the wind game, a team game on Circular Economy, the Little Explorers area and much more. On the first floor is the section dedicated to PARI, the game path consisting of 11 interactive displays to reflect on and explore Equal Opportunities and Economiamo: earn and save, donate and invest, the economy has never been so much fun!, the game path on economic education with 10 interactive stations.


Missione Me
What better occasion to inaugurate with us Missione me, the new exhibit dedicated to the human body? Discover the skeleton, the digestive system, the respiratory system, the circulatory system and the 5 senses, thanks to the new interactive exhibit, entirely designed by Explora’s set-up team, allowing children to approach science education through a hands-on approach, thus combining discovery and play. Missione Me is part of Explorando in AR – Human Body and Augmented Reality, a project realized thanks to Concessione dei contributi annuali e accordi di Programma e Intese – Mur, per lo sviluppo della ricerca e della sperimentazione delle metodologie per un’efficace didattica della scienza e della storia della scienza , which includes, in addition to the creation of the interactive exhibit the creation of a training course for teachers and educators, and Missione Me, the set of fifty playing cards designed to explore the various systems, organs and apparatuses of the human body in 3D, accompanied by short audio descriptions and transformed into visible ones thanks to the app of the same name that exploits Augmented Reality through virtual models to be observed. 


El Dìa De Los Muertos 
On Saturday 29th October take part at El Dìa De Los Muertos, the event promoted by the Embassy of Mexico in Italy, on the occasion of the traditional Mexican celebration, recognized in 2003 by Unesco as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Under the atrium of the Museum, 3 appointments with free admission of 1 hour for children from 7 to 12 years old, to create, together with the team in traditional dress, the Alebrije, a traditional papier-mâché animal considered a Cultural Heritage of Mexico City.
