This workshop stems from the book entitled “NO APP” by D. Bassi Edizioni Lapis, an activity book which, in line with the tinkering approach, collects many ideas from artists, designers, photographers to experiment with and submit to pupils aged 3-13 years. This will also be an opportunity to launch an ever-pressing educational challenge: how to educate children to use digital technology in a positive and constructive way?
The workshop will provide food for thought on suggestions for teaching practices as well as insights into digital education issues. Experimentation will focus on creative activities to be carried out in the classroom with the use of any smartphone or tablet, without the need of downloading apps:-Let’s tell a story using emojis
-Let’s draw ourselves using a selfie
-Let’s make a play using light
-Let’s turn a smartphone into a projector
-Let’s go beyond the display’s boundaries
