Easter 2018

From March 29th to 31st and on April 1st and 3rd, lots of special Easter events await you at Explora, such as workshops, games, cooking courses, and the not-to-be-missed camps.

Dedicated to nature and its colours, the Explora workshops add the Museum’s visit a creative experience, and encourage discovery and social interaction, combining art, science and experimentation.

The two workshops are divided by age groups:


Capture water: Workshop for children aged 3-5 years, where little scientists discover how some materials can take up liquids. Through a series of experiments, little scientists can get familiar with the ability of some materials to capture and hold water; sponges, cloths and some colours to make science fun and easy, at children’s reach;



Budding botanists: Workshop for children aged 6-11 years that helps children embrace nature with fun and creativity, particularly the world of leaves, and get them to know new concepts and learn to respect the environment.


The visit at Explora offers, on March 31st and April 1st,  “Salted croissant: Geometry has more taste”, the new recipe from Officina in Cucina, the Cooking Lab, to prepare crescent-shaped tasty treats from the French cuisine. The soft croissants made with whole wheat flour, filled with ham and melting cheese, are the right recipe to combine cooking art with learning geometry, getting familiar with simple but effective maths concepts.

Is the school closed? During the Easter holidays, the Explora Camp is open: on March 29th-30th and April 3rd, from 8:00 am to 04:30 pm, children will be able to attend one or more special days in the museum, engaging in games, workshops and other entertainment activities about tinkering, crafting, and environmental education for a fun and rich experience. The Explora camp offers a new way to visit the museum, stimulating the children’s creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving skills.
