Weight and Measures

Discovering the metre and the kilo: the new play-based path to learn and discover what measures are and what they are needed for.

How long is an elephant’s trunk? What does an inch measure? The new play-based path called Weight and Measures, dedicated to units of measurement, is intended to find out and understand some basic concepts underlying metrology, the science that studies measurements and their applications. This goal is achieved through interactive exhibits, fun facts and examples in everyday life.
The path, for children aged 3 to 10, which consists of two theme areas and is divided by age groups, allows children to understand units such as the metre and the kilogram. In equilibrium, Balance me, Take good measure, The Creative corner are only some of the exhibits that make up the path which will be available at Explora starting from March 22nd.

When:
starting from March 22nd.
Tuesday through Sunday, starting at 10:00 am, 12:00 pm, 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Path opens 15 minutes after visit starts and ends 15 minutes before visit ends.

Age: 3-10 years
