DEMONSTRATION ACTIVITIES from Coding and Technology – Creativity and Logic – Exchanging views and taking on challenges Camps, conceived, tested and developed by Explora and the EuroSTEAM partners:
Inside mathematics. A module dedicated to solving maths problems by developing a software application;
What knot are you? Knot theory in mathematics;
Natural propulsion competition. Activity dedicated to design and creativity to build a vehicle only driven by a natural engine, swift and speedy.
ME AND THE INVENTIONS: a journey into the world of science, technology and arts through a new guided themed exhibit. Demonstration of a new Explora themed exhibit for early childhood encouraging curiosity, creativity and skill-learning in science based on a STEAM approach.
FIAT LUX, USING SMARTPHONES FOR RESEARCH, an activity developed within the Open Schools for Open Societies (OSOS) project by Rossella Parente – Fondazione IDIS Città della Scienza di Napoli.
CRAZY BOXES from Delta Odyssey Angels, the Odyssey of the Mind team from Discovery Bay California combine art and engineering to make STEAM-based fun and original, team-building games for people of all ages. Through colorful boxes filled with original, challenging, STEM-based building games, that the Discovery Bay California team share with people of all ages, wherever they go, they encourages thinking “outside the box” using teamwork, creativity and new ideas, inspiring and helping people talk and relate to each other to work together for a common goal.
The EuroSTEAM information desk will also be available – the service has been set up by Explora and Project Coordinator South West College STEM CENTRE – with a presentation of the online toolkit for teachers, which is the third intellectual output of the project.
