Tinkering Workshop

“Let’s play together” is an initiative carried out by Explora in collaboration with Kinder Sorpresa. Ever since it was established 40 years ago, Kinder Sorpresa provides parents and children with an opportunity to play together, strengthening their relationship and complicity.

As of October 3rd, 2015, Explora will host a series of free workshops for children and parents dedicated to tinkering, an educational method created and developed by the Exploratorium of San Francisco and based on the experience and research activities carried out by MIT to support the STEM programme – for learning Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics. This method allows children to experiment through building activities that enhance creativity, fun and research and improve commitment and concentration.

When: at 10:15 am / 12:15 pm / 03:15 pm / 05:15 pm
October 3rd and 4th, 2015 for children aged 3-5
November – (dates will be soon available)
December – (dates will be soon available)

Workshop duration: 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Where: Activities are carried out in a separate space dedicated to workshops. Workshop fees do not include a visit to the Museum.

How to attend
The workshop is access-free, booking online is required. Children must be accompanied by an adult. To attend a booked workshop, free tickets must be collected the very day of the visit at least 15 minutes before the tour starts, otherwise your booking will lapse.
